NINS was awarded by various national and international universities and their personalities on the significant contribution in various research works.

  • By the innovative creation and miracle designs of art on Taxidermy, Late King Mahendra was impressed and awarded Mr. Govinda Gurung (Founder President) by a gold medal in 1947 A.D.
  • In 4th August, 1959, Certificate from Klavs Becker- Larsen( teacher), Denmark for the contribution as Liaison- officer of the Nepalese Government, and also, as a Taxidermist.
  • In 5th December, 1960, Certificate from Finn Salomonsen (Keeper of Birds, D.Sc.), Universities Zoologiske Museum, and Denmark for preparing skins of birds and stuffing them.
  • Certificate of Research Scheme in Nepal from Dr. G. Dienesselhorst, Zoologische Staatssammlung, Schloss Nymphenburg, Germany in 1962.
  • Appreciation Letter from Tribhuvan University Library for the Contribution on the display on Ecology in 25th April 1968.
  • In 5th December, 2002. Certificate of Appreciation from Tribhuvan University Central Department of Zoology, Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal for the contribution in the art of taxidermy in Nepal.
